I was first introduced to the world of Scuba diving back in second grade 1985/1986. It always intrigued me from the time I was a kid and still to this day. Growing up I was always fascinated with the animal life that exists under the surface of the ocean, mainly Sharks, but the other aquatic marine life as well. Fast forward to 2007 I started looking into getting certified, but life happened and I never followed through. Sixteen years later I jumped at the opportunity to finally jumped at the opportunity to get certified and brought my 11 year old daughter with me now both of us are certified divers. I continued my diving education from open water to Advanced, to Rescue diver, currently a Divemaster working on becoming an instructor because I enjoy helping people learn and experience the world beneath the surface. I am certified in many specialty courses such as Solo/ Self reliant, Drysuit, Ice diver, Full face mask, Emergency oxygen provider, Deep, Wreck, Search and recovery, enriched air/ Nitrox, and Night.

I have a few favorites, Solo, Night, Wreck, Search and recovery, and Deep. Solo diving gives me the opportunity to dive anytime, it allows me time to work on my own skills. Night diving there is something very surreal and calming about it; aquatic life changes, fish that were active during the day seem to be in a state of suspended animation, and others that you rarely see in the daylight I.E. octopus come out at night and you also get to experience some bioluminescence in different parts of the world. Search and recovery i really enjoy the challenge to recover lost items for people, it an opportunity to give people back something they lost. The next two are my absolute favorites, Wreck, and Deep. Wreck diving for me opened a world I find fascinating just for the history of the ship and boats and the ability to see ships that not many have seen outside of the dive community, I alway wonder what caused it to sink what the purpose of the ship was and any other interesting facts about it, now Deep diving I really enjoy the controlled freefall from the surface to 100+ feet. There is something tranquil to me about a 2 minute 45 second or longer freefall into the depths and watching the surface light dim and the bottom appear out of the darkness, also most of the well preserved wrecks are deep and also for that reason I'm inspired to get into the Tech side of diving as well. Diving to me provides an environment of adventure and experiences that the majority of the population will never see or experience.
